The NYC Department of Small Business Services offers free services at our network of Workforce1 Career Centers to prepare and help New Yorkers to find jobs. We can help you prepare for your next interview, update your résumé, and connect with employers, or find the right training you need to succeed.

If you or someone you know has served at least one day active duty in the US military, are currently serving, or have previously served in the National Guard or the Reserves, OR if you are the spouse, widow, or widower of a service member or a veteran, those individuals are entitled to priority of service at an Workforce1 Center.

We have dedicated Veteran Specialists at most of our Workforce1 centers, many of whom are veterans themselves, that are available to provide you with one-on-one assistance.

Just let us know if you’ve served or are currently serving and we’ll make sure to provide you and your spouse with priority of service and connect you to our nearest Veteran Specialist for an appointment to discuss your job search.
